Item details

The little textured hearts on these earrings have been made from silver clay so are Fine Silver. They have been brushed after firing to give a satin finish then, the highest parts of the texture have been burnished to a mirror shine. The long, kidney wires are Sterling Silver

Silver clay is like modern alchemy - deary looking grey clay is transformed into precious metal in just a few minutes of firing. The silver itself is reclaimed from things like photographic film and the binder in the clay is derived from rice so its all very good for the environment too.
