Full description

Please give a courtsy to Victoria, whom I have named after the famous plum of the same name!

Made from vintage fabric in beautiful shades of mangenta and violet this glamorous plum is no shrinking wall flower! I have given her a tail made from two layers of violet purple felt cut in open feathered shapes. Victoria's wings consist of a base layer of the violet felt topped with the vintage plum fabric.

This luscious berry-shaded fabric is in fact a section of a 1960s/70s tablecloth which I bought as part of a set at auction - I have used a piece of plain coloured matching napkin from the set for her breast.

Victoria has eyes made from tiny black seed beads which I have centred on little circles of mushroom coloured felt and a beak that is cut from pale tan eco-felt. This charming little bird is free-standing on re-purposed copper wire legs and as with all my birds she is plumped full of polyester toy filling!

Post is first class.
