Full description
A profusion of buttercups, accompanied by large daisies and tiny blue speedwell, are thriving in the wildflower meadow created from many felted yarn snippets.
Sky blue wool fibers have been felted to a background of kunin felt (produced from recycled plastic bottles) using an embellisher machine. A wide variety of yarn snippets, carefully collected from other yarn projects, have been added to represent the meadow grasses. Stitching in fine cotton has been added to the sky and meadows to 'stabilise' the felting. Buttercups, daisies and speedwell are then added in embroidery threads using simple stitches.
Ribbon sleeves are provided, at the top and bottom of the hanging, into which lengths of narrow dowel have been slid. A cotton thread hanging loop is attached to the top dowel. Should you wish to frame this embroidery, the dowels may be removed. The back of the piece is neatened by a second piece of felt.

Please note this wall hanging may not be washed.
