A special addition to my Octopus family is this one knitted in a smooth jet black acrylic yarn with bright red glass bead eyes for a smart gothic look. A real charmer this cute little fellow contains two bags of dried Yorkshire lavender from the lavender farm at Terrington. Not only does he smell really nice he's also a natural insect repellent. The lavender bags can be easily accessed to replace or refresh with a few drops of lavender oil.
I originally designed Octopus for the wardrobe. A hidden tube runs through the middle of Octopus to allow him to slip neatly over any size clothes hanger to keep moths away.
Friends didn't want to hide him away though and so Octopus includes an elastic hanger which can be threaded through Octopus to convert him into a car air freshener which also eases headaches and stress. Give him a squeeze in warm hands for an extra burst of lavender freshness.
He will sit in a drawer to freshen your socks etc or on a beside table or radiator where lavender is well known to soothe and relax and aid sleep.
You could even use him as a pincushion!!!!!
Or he'll just 'hang around' wherever you want him to.
Versatile and unique he's not just an Octopus he's an OctoPLUS!!!
