Full description

This is a unique stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.

It is a dragonfly string, a mobile.

It comprises five little dragonflies. They have 2 square beads for eyes and a curly wire tail.

They are strung together with a little shiny bell at the bottom.

Each dragonfly is individually made from different textures and colours of glass and are all different. 2 in blue-green shades, 1 in turquoise, 1 green and the other blue. They all have 2 wings in iridescent glass so that the wings shimmer in the light as real dragonflies do.

The string can hang anywhere, in a window, against a wall, from a light with a loop at the top to hang it.

This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and types of glass. This piece comprises 25 separate pieces of glass, 10 beads and a bell. It is approximately 40 cm in length.

The first 2 photos shows the dragonfly string for sale here. The first shows it in 2 different lights and I have tried to show a bit more detail of the individual dragonfly in the 2nd photo.

The 3rd photo is of the only other I have made of this new design as a Christmas present for my daughter.

I now make 10 types of Strings as shown in photos 4 and 5, and I also sell these on Folksy. Please contact me if you would like a different colour, another type of string.
