The deer is having a nice sleep, on a peaceful night, while plum blossom blows down on the springtime breeze in showers of confetti. Perhaps a doe, dreaming of a fawn; or a young buck. Probably just happy the harsh winter is over.
limited edition of 44.

Makes a lovely gift for deer (and cherry blossom) loving friends, and that includes you (for you must always be your own good friend). Frame it for a wall; post it to a friend; pop it in a scrapbook. Don't forget to see my other little landscape prints, like ( hare ) or ( fox).

Size: A5 acid free, smooth, heavy weight cartridge paper (that's 148 x 210 mm or 5.8 x 8.3 inches). Fits standard sized frames (either A5 or 8x6inch apertures are fine. frames are not included in the sale.)

Materials: I use water based (eco friendly) acrylic inks- browns and oranges, give a retro feel to this artprint. All materials are archival to last as an heirloom into the future.

Important Stuff: My screenprints are hand printed and hand registered by eye and unlike computer generated images are subject to slight variations that make each a unique piece of art.

Inspiration: You know the feeling when the blossom first breaks out and flitters down like confetti to celebrate the waking up of life from a long, sluggish slumber? As if mother nature herself is celebrating and you fall asleep to soft dreams of the prospect of summer? That.

Process: I designed chiyogami inspired plum blossom patterns and images in this print and combined them together to make this contemporary fine art screen print. I've signed this limited edition in pencil at the bottom.
