Eco-friendly, Quilled Paper, 'Plum Blossom' flower earrings.
The plum symbolises Courage and Hope.
'Hope' because it is the first tree to blossom in the darkness of winter and 'Courage' because it bravely stands against the dangers of winter.
The five petals of the plum blossom symbolise the "five good fortunes". These five blessings refer to longevity, wealth, health and composure, virtue, and the desire to die a natural death in old age.

Handmade, original design.
Made with paper, eco-friendly, natural latex and Dammar glue and coated with an eco-friendly matt varnish.
'Dammar' is a plant resin derived from the Meranti tree, grown in sustainably managed forests in Sumatra.
Colours: Pale pink with a metallic pink edge, fuchsia, cerise and pearl white.
Please note the metallic edge is only on one side of the earring.
Size: W: 1.9 cm
H: 1.9 cm – not including hook.
Photo 5 shows a similar design of earrings next to a ten pence piece, earrings are approximately two thirds the size of the coin.
Earring hooks are gold plated.
Please note: these earrings have been given a coat of eco-friendly matt varnish and so are protected against high humidity and splashes but I cannot guarantee that they are 100% waterproof – so please don't go swimming in them! :)
