At the moment I am very much into copper jewelry. I love the warm colour of copper and that it is so easy to wire wrap and oxidise to a whole variety of shades. Wire wrapped jeweller has a special charm, particularly when you can see the hand of the maker in the finished piece.

Copper and glass earrings.
I love these Czech Glass Drops. They are specially coated in a fabulous mix of topaz, amber and cognac with flecks of gold. They are wire wrapped to a frame of copper loops, which i have hammered flat for strength and texture, then oxidised and polished to a lovely dark shade.
I give the hooks a coat of clear varnish to protect the skin from going green, but the rest of the earring will tarnish beautifully and give the drops extra character.
I handmade the hooks to make them slightly smaller than standard ones as I like the drop to hang very close to the ear lobe.
From the top of the hook to the bottom of the copper loop these earrings measure 3.5 cm or 1 1/3 inches.
You can get clip-on fastenings instead if you need by adding them to your basket. You can find the in my shop under accessories :o)
My copper jewellery is made to order, so may take a day extra to ship.
