I wanted to make a smaller version of a larger shade I had already made using this technique as I really like the effect the underlay of paper gives especially when the shade is lit up. The larger version of this shade is also available in my shop and I am happy to consider making the shade in other sizes on request.

Full description
This unique design hand crafted lampshade consists of an oatmeal coloured Hessian fabric that has a decorative underlay of hand-cut brown paper. When the shade is unlit the underlay of paper is slightly visible through Hessian fabric, but when lit the effect is more dramatic. The loose weave of the Hessian allows the paper underlay to give a warm silhouette effect.
This shade has carefully hand rolled edges and is backed with white flame retardant PVC. The lampshade ring is epoxy coated and fits UK standard 25mm light fittings but can also be easily adapted to suit a larger European style 40mm fitting by simply squeezing out the converter plug that is attached (this is very easy to do, and will be labelled).

The shade will be wrapped in a protective cellophane wrapping for delivery and this should be removed before use.
