My Looby Lou obi belts are inspired by the Japanese obi but I have adapted them for the modern women!
The front panel is pleated into the ties. This gives the obi belt a unique shape, creating small folds that make it easy to wear whilst being versatile. You can wear it narrow or wide, gathered or flat – the choice is yours. It is great for cinching in the waist! The ties can be tied at the back or can be wrapped around and tied at the front. There are so many ways to wear this belt - have fun with it!
Can be reversed as a plain black belt!
The decorative front panel is a Japanese cotton fabric. The print features Japanese sakura (cherry blossoms) and other abstract flowers in an array of colours on a background of blue and misty clouds.
A black cotton mix fabric has been used to line and edge the front panel. The ties are also made from the same black cotton fabric.
Please kindly note that as each belt is individually hand crafted there are likely to be differences in fabric pattern position.
Measurements:
The front panel is about 20 and a half inches long and 7 inches tall at its widest point.
The ties are about 3 and a quarter inches wide and at least 42 inches long.
The belt is free size - but to give some idea it is modeled on a 28 inch waist in the photos. Please refer to the measurements to ensure this belt will be a suitable fit for you.
