Full description
This is a very beautiful special cushion and is unique. It is made with a vintage hand painted silk panel which is one of a kind.
The centre panel on the front is a wonderful shade of pale pink silk. It is a vintage hand painted picture of pansies in shades of purple, yellow and orange. The leaves are a pale green.
The message at the top of the panel reads "To my dear Mother" in blue and the word "Belgium" is painted underneath the flowers. The artist has signed their initials "ST" next to the flowers.
I have edged the panel with cream crocheted vintage lace and have added two pale pink vintage buttons to the bottom corner.
The main fabric of the cushion is a new piece of Globaltex "Spotty" in white with pink,blue and beige spots on it.
The cushion is of the housewife pillow type with a flap to tuck in inside so the inner cushion is completely covered. The inner cushion is included in the price and is a new polyfil. type.
Please note that because of the nature of the front panel this cushion is not washable. The panel itself has some small spots of water marking in one corner which is understandable due to its age.
The size is : 30cms x 42cms approx.
