It's nice to have somewhere special to keep baby bits and bobs from the very early days, and something they might treasure when they're older. My own version has some miniature framed baby pics, hospital tags and the midwife's card, listing the time and date of birth and a funny 'well done mum!' message. Not sure I appreciated it at the time, but now it makes me chuckle...

Full description
A lovely gift for a newborn or as a Christening present, this solid wooden keepsake box is decoupaged with my original watercolour and ink illustrations. It features some sweet scenes of the loving parents with their new baby - at the seaside, strolling in the garden, tucked up at bedtime. Also available in baby blue under a separate listing.
The dimensions are: h10 x w15 xd9cm. Enough room for small keepsakes such as hospital tags, first curl, first tooth and other smallish items you wish to treasure. It features a polka-dot cotton lining inside. (Please note that this item is hand-painted and the images are snipped by hand, so it is not 'factory' perfect).
For an extra £2.00 I can add a name/message/date on the lid, hand-written in black script. I would email the wording/style for you to check. Simply add a message in paypal.
The unpainted box was sourced from a UK-based family business and is of a really high quality. Made of solid lime and birch, it features hidden hinges and dove-tailed joints.
