Mackenzie is Michaela's slightly more sophisticated sister although she has similar characteristics regarding sailor chasing! She is more of a Boden girl although today she is wearing Fat Face. She carries an across the body beach bag in red hessian (matching her trendy red specs), lined in red cotton gingham... I'm not sure where she bought it though! Her hair is Leicester Longwool fleece which is securely needle felted. Her face is free machine embroiderd and painted. I've made her without sketches or making a pattern... just freely cutting the fabric and without much idea of how she would evolve. I've used tea dipped calico for her body, blue denim cotton for her tail and a nautical navy and white stripy cotton for her top . She is filled with toy stuffing which meets British Standards.
Mackenzie is approx 18ins tall.
All my mermaids have their own character and little imperfections add to this.... the way I like it :)
I must emphasise again that my mermaids are not toys so please do not buy them for small children. They do not meet the required toy safety standards or carry the CE label. They should NOT be given to children under 14 years old. I am more than happy for them to be purchased as decorative items :)
