I saw a similar bag made from Hessian and Muslin on an American lady's blog and thought it was lovely, so had fancied trying to make something similar for a while. I love cushions and thought I would try to make a frilled cushion instead of a bag. I couldn't remember which blog I had first seen it on so this is my idea of her bag and is prob miles away from what I actually saw at first. Blogs are a great source of inspiration but I am rubbish at remembering which blog I saw something scrummy on. And I am always seeing gorgeous ideas and then forgetting all about them altogether so I did well to remember any of it. Getting the proportions right was trial and error. But I love it! I might have a go at a bag too, but another day.

This is gorgeous! A hessian and muslin frilled cushion with a big rose flower decoration too.
The cushion front is made from hessian and decorated with 3 deep frills of natural muslin each edged in cream cotton lace. It has a natural muslin rose at the top of the frill and this has a vintage mother of pearl button as its centre. I just love it, its so pretty.
The back of the cushion is in plain calico with a deep overlap fastening. It has a feather filled inner and measures 16 inches square.
