Full description

Dragonflies have been said to represent change, life after death, maturity and for many people are magical creatures. When I was small I was told that the fairies used them as horses! (and I still believe it!)...

This 6 cm bobby pin has been hand made from vintage buttons - One large green art Deco one ( 3.5cms) and another wooden handpainted floral one - both taken from my HUGE button collection! Only one of these in the whole wide world! and for those other dragonfly lovers out there...

Today I saw the dragon-fly, Come from the wells where he did lie. An inner impulse rent the veil Of his old husk: from head to tail, Came out clear plates of sapphire mail.

He dried his wings: like gauze they grew; Thro’ crofts and pastures wet with dew, A living flash of light he flew.
