I love my chickens, and I love knitting so a chicken egg cosy seemed obvious! - I've been making and selling these chickens for a a while and a few people have asked for the pattern, so I decided to share it - so other people who like chickens and knitting can enjoy it too!

This pattern gives you the instructions to knit, and add crochet detail to, a chicken egg cosy that would cheer any breakfast table! - This fat hen will keep the eggs warm, as well as looking cute.
The pattern will be a PDF file sent to your email address. (Please read the following carefully before you purchase, as a refund cannot be offered once the pattern has been emailed. thanks)
The finished item is not included - if you wish to buy the finished egg cosy it is available in my folksy shop.
For this pattern you need to be able to knit in the round, decrease and cast off. You also need to be able to crochet a chain.
You will need approximately 15 yards of bulky/chunky pure wool in creamy white- if you wish to felt the chicken. Alternatively, you can use 15 yards of worsted/aran weight yarn without felting. And small amounts of red, yellow and green in the same yarn.
you will need four 3.75mm (UKsize 9 USA 5) dp needles
a 4mm crochet hook
a small amount of embroidery thread and needle.
