The Awen symbol is linked to many Druid movements. Awen is a Welsh word for inspiration or essence, the symbol is made up of three convergent rays leading to a higher point. There are many interpretations of the three rays: truth, love, knowledge; energies of female, male and the balance between; past, present and future; the three pillars of wisdom; or the letters I, O, and U - which when pronounced are part of the word "Awen" when it is intoned - and can be used as a meditative focus.
