Fit for Royal-tea, this Queen’s Diamond Jubilee design is part of an inaugural set of 5 tea towel designs by Have a Gander for 2012, Peter was inspired by both the single-colour style of The Penny Black stamp and a Queen of Diamonds playing card. Rather than lift images from old engraving books etc, Peter always draws everything by hand, even the lettering, to imbue the designs with a true artistic craftmanship. A ‘Jubilant’ Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tea towel shamelessly patriotic, celebrating 60 years of Her Majesty’s reign over us. Hand-drawn by Have a Gander illustrator Peter Gander, it features two cheeky corgis and a design inspired by the single-colour Penny Black and the Queen of diamonds playing card. Design MkII.
