Expectations is one my favourite ever songs, and I've been told a lot of times by a lot of people that the song reminds them of me. The drawings I did of the school girls are some of my best, so I thought they were good enough to put together with these lyrics.

Full description
This is a zine inspired partly by the lyrics to Belle & Sebastian's song Expectations. A while ago, I spent some time in a secondary school as an artist-in-residence, drawing portraits of year 8 schoolgirls at work in the classroom. I put these drawings together in this zine, accompanied with the words from Expectations.
The zine is handmade, stylised as a school exercise book and bound with staples. It measures 16.5 x 10cm. The cover comes in a choice of blue or orange, which will be randomly selected unless you state a preference. There are 28 pages, with a mixture of colour and black and white illustrations, done in pencil and watercolour.
