Inspiration: They are like strange alien creatures that pop up over night and they are neither animal or plants which is really cool. They stretch underground and invisible for many miles and shrooms miles apart can be the fruiting bodies of the same mycelium, which has become a sort of metaphor for interconnectedness for me.

I hadn't really eaten any psilocybin before designing this, I was just overwhelmed with the potential for colour and patterns. All hail the rise of the mushrooms!

Process: I drew this in black and white on the computer and made it into three silkscreens that I used to create a multicolour print. Never again. Computers and me don't mix. Looks pretty though.

Full description

From fairy rings to red and white spotted fly agaric, fungi appear in our folklore and mythologies because they have special powers. Some make seats for gnomes, or make reindeer fly, some of them help you to see through time, I think that's why shamans use them. Some of them are just plain delicious on toast. Those are the ones I like. They are bound to bring good luck and happiness. Bound to. If you talk to them.

Limit edition of 22
