This is my screen print of small boy and a red balloon. Small boys are generally quite happy when they have a balloon, one that flies, especially if it is red. The quote is by Winnie the Pooh, who has much of importance to say on such matters as balloons and heffalumps, being a leading expert in the area.. No curly haired moppets included with the sale,they are for illustration purposes only- just the Red balloon print. Really, nobody can be uncheered by a balloon.

Size: Printed by me on acid free, smooth, heavy weight, A4 cartridge paper. A4 is 297x210mm (11.7.8.3 inches) Fits standard sized frames (either for A4 or 8x10) (frames are not provided)

Materials: I use water based (eco friendly) acrylic inks in summery cornflower yellow, pastel blue,chocolate brown and red to give a nostalgic retro feeling to this artprint. All materials are archival to last as an heirloom into the future.

Important stuff: My screenprints are hand printed and hand registered by eye and unlike computer generated images are subject to slight variations that make each a unique piece of art.

Inspiration: This print was of my son and he's very proud of that. 'look,' he says 'there's me!' This is his favourite of all my work, because it has two of his favourite things in- a red balloon, and him. He's toddling along in a jolly patterned world with flowers where the sky is always blue.. probably thinking about olives, those little love heart sweets and maybe what bugs are nearby.

Process: The red balloon was printed by myself with four silkscreens on heavyweight cartridge paper. It's very cheerful.

Make it a gift for a nursery, or anyone who likes to- or needs to- play- especially if that person is you. Frame it for a wall; post it to a friend; pop it in a scrapbook. Don't forget to see my other matching prints, like Lauren's kite).
