It is a paper cut I purposely designed for an Exhibition in Hastings, UK, called "On The Map" which features 18 artists using maps in some way or other in their designs and artwork. The exhibition also features some very old maps, plans and architectural drawings.
I was inspired by this lovely seaside town and of course the french connection of the battle of Hastings!

Full description
This is the reverse side of a paper cut I made on an old Quarter-inch ordnance survey map of South East England. It features Hastings as a town and its history.
