Item details

A beautiful and perfectly stately pair of old oak chairs, with incredible carved details including crowns and barley twist legs. These were in a very sad state before we took them under our wing and gave them the TLC they deserve. Sanded back and primed, they have been painted in two coats of Fired Earth Oyster, given a coat of clear and then dark wax, and then sanded back at the edges to give them a really vintage feel. Beautiful British Union Jack fabric completes the look. Fully lined underneath. They really are quite a regal pair! This pair would look equally at home in the dining room, lounge, hallway, bedroom or kitchen - take your pick! But most of all, just love and enjoy them.

We do have these for sale at a local shop in Westbourne, Dorset. Please do contact us prior to purchase to ensure that they are still available, although we always keep our pages as up to date as possible.

Thanks for visiting Faded Grey! We hope you like what you see. Upcycling furniture really floats our boat. We pick pieces for their quality and quirkiness and treat them with lashings of love, care and affection. We put them through their paces with sanding, priming, at least a couple of coats of paint, and finish with both clear and dark wax, or occasionally a matt clear varnish for extra durability. Some are sleek and glossy, others get distressed around the edges - each piece is unique but is given a great big furniture cuddle and sent on it's way with a spring in it's step and a smile on it's face. Happy days.
