The material! I was also experimenting with creating a child friendly and washable bear. He has glass eyes, so not entirely child friendly yet in this version.

This bear is very unusual. He's made of fun fur in a brown cow print!
As he has glass eyes; he is not suitable for children. You could display it on the top shelf though, well out of the way of the children until they are a little older.
He has beautifully soft wool felt paw pads that really accentuate the unusual colour and design and his joints are the modern plastic 'safety' kind.
This 'Artist Bear' really is rather special and would make a beautiful gift for a collector or just a lover of the unusual. Unlike most jointed bears, he is washable by hand and very, very carefully in cool water.
