I have always loved things in miniature, and adore snow globes. When I'd hoarded up a load of jam jars, I thought how lovely it would be to create a miniature world inside. I've always loved this part of the film and the line is one I often think of.

Inside this little up-turned jam jar, Dorothy walks down the Yellow Brick Road in her blue dress and pinny, with her basket in hand.... as you may remember the Wicked Witch of the West watches her journey and says "Poppies....Poppies will put them to sleep..." as she casts a spell on the surrounding meadows of poppies.
I have used bright, glossy colours in this scene, like in the film, and little details such as her costume, basket and plaits. The title is fixed to the base (originally the lid).
Please note that each piece is made individually by hand to order, so may take a couple of days to create for despatch, and small differences in the appearance are possible too.
