I've always loved the translucent effect of watercolour and wanted to paint onto a texture and pattern that would show through the paint. This Cyclopaedia was the perfect canvas and a great inspiration for the painting itself.

Full description
Original water colour painting of a flamingo on a page taken from Pears Cyclopaedia. The page features the definition of a flamingo. I have placed this inside a vintage frame which is in good vintage condition. My single 'M' signature appears in the bottom corner.
Please note that each piece is made individually by hand, so may take a couple of days to create for despatch, and very small differences in the appearance are possible too. I use unique, vintage frames, so also please note that the one you receive may not be the same as the one in the picture. I will always choose good quality frames though which suit the painting.
