Full description
This cup and saucer is made from papier mache, and decorated with individually cut petal shapes decoupaged in overlapping layers, and then inside the cup, there are decoupaged butterflies and other little creatures. The cup and saucer has been decorated with tiny pieces of petal shaped print, taken from the book '101 Things for a Housewife to do' which is a testament to a bygone vintage age, when people had TIME.
Inspired by the fact that I love my cups of tea, I wanted to make something that is a reminder of the lovely comfort of tea and a hark back to those times of bone china and lace. This is the second cup and saucer in a series.
This is one off piece and has been protected with several layers of satin finish varnish. It is signed on the bottom of the saucer.
The saucer measures 14cm across and the cup stands about 5cm high.
