I've called this latest of my feathered friends 'Tattoo', for obvious reasons!
This little bird is made from fabric I have printed with my original pen and ink illustrations (doodlings!) and as such is totally unique in every way!
Amongst the illustrations are a fish, a girl's face, a bird, a tree, flowers, eyes, hand of Fatima, feathers, leaves, spirals and abstract pattern....the more you look, the more you see!
I have backed the fabric printed wings with ivory felt for added structure. The little bird has eyes of ivory felt with a tiny black bead centre, and her beak is brown felt. She stands happily on legs made from re-purposed copper wire and is firmly stuffed with polyster toy filling.
Measuring approximately 4" long and standing 3 1/2" in height, she is the perfect size for shelf sitting or for peeking from the top of a cabinet or doorframe!
I post first class using as much reclaimed packaging as possible to minimise waste and costs.
