Last summer the buddleia in our backyard was covered in purple flowers which the butterflies absolutely loved, a treat to watch with their brightly coloured wings, just had to try and paint them,thought by using glass paints the colours would really stand out rich ruby red was the perfect choice for the Red Admiral and the Peacock butterfly it was also the perfect colour to use for the poppies(a favorite wildflower of my dads)the colours of the butterflies really do come to life when the sun catches the glass and in the evenings a tea-light creates a wonderful cosy effect of colour to enjoy!.

hand painted using pebeo glass paints which when baked adheres the paint to the glass to enable you to wash them in warm soapy water with a soft cloth.
