This pendant was inspired by a Mermaid's Purse I saw washed up on the beach. A Mermaid's Purse is the egg case of some species of fish, eg.dogfish, skate and some species of shark. Once the young have hatched, the 'purses' are easily washed up on the beach.
I thought the tendrils lent themselves to wire work.

Beautiful, original pendant inspired by a mermaid's purse found whilst beachcombing.
Features silver plated knitted wire, freshwater pearls, glass & plastic beads.
Tendrils are made out of sterling silver hand-forged wire.
A beautiful piece of abalone shell is cocooned within!
I use silver plated wire for my knitted creations rather than pure silver, for strength and stretchability.
The pendant is lightweight and suspended from an 18" /46 cm Sterling Silver snake chain.
Length including tendrils: 9cm / 3.5 "
Width: 2.5cm/3/4 "
Gift boxed and tied with a pretty ribbon.....
