Full description

Other than the very warm hat I made him, this cafetiere cozy is the first knitted project that my boyfriend is very enthusiastic about. In fact, he suggested I should make more and sell them, and here we go.

Like most humans, we both survive on coffee, and there is nothing worse than making a big pot of coffee and having to drink the second mug cold... We have been using our cozy for about a year, and are more than happy with the warm-keeping qualities of this wool cozy. Even after one hour the coffee was still at a pleasant temperature to drink.

The cozy is fastened with three buttons top, middle and bottom with a chain loop. The metal buttons are recycled from what was once my favourite jacket but after years of wear and tear I had to say goodbye to it. It is cable knitted for visual effect and due to it's ribbed texture it is a very stretchy fabric.

Due to my lack of a good quality camera (or my lack of knowledge on how to use it properly) as well as screen variances, the pictures show the item in a slight variety of red. The real colour of the cozy is a deep blood red.

This item should be fine in the washing machine, as it's super-wash wool, however I personally always play it safe and hand wash. I will add a little bit of extra wool for the very unlikely event the item should get damaged, and needs stitching.

This item is ready to ship, but I can make them fairly quickly in different colours if required.
