Heraldic Artist and Calligrapher in Glasgow.
I design and handpaint paint single or double initial letters in colour (or in 23c gold leaf or Palladium leaf for silver) for handmade Birthday or Wedding Anniversary gifts.
As well as handpainted letters, I also have fantasy animal cards, calligraphy placemats and a selection of calligraphy giclée art prints of sayings and quotes including a selection from JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings..

Thistles are both decorative and stylish and I love to paint them - from the pale and darker shades of purple in the flowerheads to adding the tiny hairs along the stems which help to soften the greens and bring the colours together.
That and also, purple is my favourite colour.
Custom idea - letters painted in green also look great with thistles. Let me know before ordering if you would prefer that.
