The original pattern I used was created by Louise Ström. I wanted to use some colours I hadn't tried before and was really pleased by the result.

Full description
This trim has been handwoven using tablet weaving. It has two different repeating geometrical patterns in dark brown red on a background of yellow. The borders are woven in grassy green wool. It's a fairly short piece of trim but would work well for a neckline or perhaps decorating the top of a Viking apron dress.
The wool has been hand dyed by me using natural plant dyes to create historically accurate colours. The yellow wool has been dyed with Weld. I used Weld and overdyed with Woad to create the green wool for the border. The wool for the pattern was dyed with Madder to create a red which I then treated with iron for a darker colour.
