Heraldic Artist and Calligrapher in Glasgow.
I design and handpaint paint single or double initial letters in colour (or in 23c gold leaf or Palladium leaf for silver) for handmade Birthday or Wedding Anniversary gifts.
As well as handpainted letters, I also have fantasy animal cards, calligraphy placemats and a selection of calligraphy giclée art prints of sayings and quotes including a selection from JRR Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings..

I love Poppies and couldn't resist adding a few to my illuminated alphabet - see the letter P also (but I will paint any letter with any of my designs in my shop.)
Poppies are so distinctive and are highly symbolic representing from dreams, reverie and sleep but then also thoughtful remembrance of those gone before, so their blooms carry with them a gentle but powerful image.
This is a custom-made item and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Initial letter 'M' handpainted in red with poppies on watercolor paper and framed within an ivory mount.

Poppies represent sleep and the night; also dreams and reverie, and they are used to help us remember those who have fallen in times of war.
Finished size is - 120 x 120mm or 4 and 3/4" square.
Orders will be sent within 3-5 days of being placed and paid for - by First Class if you're in the UK and by Airmail if to outside the UK.
