A friend asked me to make a little love bird for her to give to her hubby on Valentine's Day. I thought it turned out quite well so I made some more in different colours, and here they are!

Full description
These lovely little love birds are made from art glass with a recycled copper wire heart captured inside, filled with sprinkles of coloured glass. I cut the art glass by hand, then layer it up with the copper wire and coloured glass sprinkles. I then put it all in my specialist glass kiln and fire it to almost 800 degrees. The fused glass love bird then stays in the kiln over-night to cool slowly.
Every love bird is made to order, is totally individual and comes with it's own teeny, tiny bubbles. Your love bird will measure approximately 5 cm wide by 7 cm high, although the size does vary as they are hand-made. Your love bird can be hung on a wall, on a window, on a mirror or even outside in the garden!
Love birds can be made in deep blue, turquoise, spring green, mint green, emerald green, dark green, red, cranberry pink, baby blue, petal pink, plum, lavender, purple, sky blue, white, black, ivory, sunshine yellow, amber, brown, light beige.
Lovely to give on Valentine's Day or Mother's Day. A love bird would also make a fun wedding gift or favour. If you would like to colour-match your fused glass love birds with your wedding colours, I can send you sample love birds, and refund the cost when you place your full order.
