I love music and have been playing various instruments since I was 5.
I first had the idea of making an origami birds mobile with recycled music when I saw a tatty old music book in a charity shop.
I paid for the sad looking book with its curled edges and took it home.
Once I had ironed the creased pages and cropped the edges with my paper cutter, the music was perfect for folding into little origami birds.
I gave my very first 'Music Birds' recycled mobile to a musician friend.
It has been hanging proudly above his piano ever since :-)

Hey ! Look at this fun origami mobile made from recycled sheet music
There are 5 individually hand folded little origami birds.
Each bird if hand folded from a 7cm square from old music.
(colours and places will vary from photo)
Strung on ‘invisible’ nylon monofilament thread.
Recycled bead or button pendant at the bottom (these will vary due to availability).
It folds flat and comes in a presentation gift bag.
The approximate hanging length is 45 - 50 cms
I can also make these from maps, books (poetry, cookery books, bible pages etc), junk mail, money (photo copied) etc
