If you're treating yourself to a bottle of something nice, then why stick an old cork in it?
Make it more special with this One-of-a-kind glass marble stopper. Made by hand by melting borosilicate glass (pyrex type glass) direct in a superhot propane & oxygen flame, I have formed a 3d flower INSIDE a solid glass marble!
Whilst experimenting to get a more intense red I came up with this striking red semi-transparent flower which is streaked with cream - which reminds me of a strawberries drizzled with cream! The centre of the flower I've but some yellow and transluscent green stamens. The flower is quite short, filling the bottom third of the marble, the top acting as a lens, and these colours make it quite striking
Around the base I've but a few green 'leaves' to suggest grass growing, and on some of the petals are small bubbles to look like fresh dew. All this in a marble just over 24mm in diameter (about 1inch)! To make it more realistic the flower bends out of the base slightly
The stopper will fit most standard bottles with a rubber collar to help make a good seal, the metal has a chrome finish, and I've firmly attached the glass into the stopper with a glass stalk 'anchor' and strong resin glue.
The marble has been annealed in a digitally controlled kiln, although it is glass so rough handling is NOT recommended, but handwashing is recommended!
