Seaside design using applique and hand embroidery on this patchwork cushion.
The coastline at Shoreham in Sussex has a wonderful display of wild flowers in early summer. Sea pinks also called Thrift were the inspiration for the design of this cushion.
We have hand stitched and appliqued flowers, shells and pebbles using silk and cotton fabrics and threads. We have hand dyed blue cotton fabric which has been combined with cream coloured cotton fabric to create a patchwork border.
The back of the cushion is cream and has an envelope fastening with pink and cream hand made buttons. We made these hand made buttons using Fimo.
Feather cushion insert included on UK orders, measures approx 40 X 40cm
NOTE: Outside of UK shipping, the insert is not included to cut down on postage so you will receive the cushion cover only.
