A crochet scarf in a lovely range of autumn colours. Multiple shades of browns, greens, yellows randomly arranged. As i made this scarf i enjoyed seeing the various colours take on different shades and tones depending on the colour they were placed next to. About 5 years ago a went to a psychology lecture in The Centre for Life, Newcastle where a series of slides demonstrated this phenomenon, a colour can dramatically lose or gain vibrancy depending on the colour contrast placed next to it.

Most of these yarns are pure wool, the others are high quality wool blends. the marroon is a wool mohair blend by Rowan. There is a little mohair in 2 of the green yarns. Overall around 80% wool.

I made this scarf while in Mexico over Christmas and New year visiting my daughter. She works in Guaymas, Sonora on the pacific coast. The weather was warm and the scenery stunning. Yarn takes up a lot of room in a suitcase so i took odd balls ( chosen for colour and softness) to inspire my creativity, and this was the result. Very soft, warm and beautiful. There is only one scarf like this, i couldn't replicate if i tried.

This unique winter warm scarf was made in a sunny Mexican courtyard in the company of the neighbours' cheeky miniature pups who keep trying to steal my yarn. NOTE: there is no white in this scarf, what looks like white in the photos is a soft lemon pure wool.
