I've always been fascinated by the way people interact and 'play' with the jewellery that they wear, usually when they are 'thinking deeply' or having a bit of a daydream!
I'm also really interested in mechanical engineering and the way things 'work', so the two have been linked together in my kinetic designs, to form unusual and, sometimes, intriguing jewels.

This sterling silver pendant is part of my ‘Spinning’ collection of kinetic jewellery. Stylish, contemporary design with a minimalist feel, a ‘grown up’ heart pendant for the romantic in you....
Designed and handmade in my studio using traditional silversmithing techniques, the two hearts, one enclosed within the other, are able to spin freely around the central spindle. The pendant is completed with a pretty pink Rose Quartz gemstone bead, also able to move freely on the central spindle. The pendant is finished with a high-shine mirror polish.
A very pretty yet simple pendant, what a fabulous expression of love for the contemporary jewellery fan!
Slightly larger than the Garnet version of this pendant, the largest of the two hearts is 25mm wide, at its widest point, and is 5mm deep. Overall pendant length is 32mm approx. Supplied on a 45cm (18”) Sterling Silver belcher chain. This larger Rose Quartz version of the Love pendant is one-of-a-kind.
Hallmarked with my own maker's mark at the London Assay Office and presented in a Claire Wood Designer Jeweller gift box.
