Full description
Inspired by walking past a beautiful hydrangea everyday I created this piece using paper, paint and stitching.
I took a damaged book (Sense and Sensibility) hand cut petal shapes and individually painted in watercolour and stitched each one. I then arranged them into flowers and stitched to them to a linen type fabric secured in an embroidery hoop. The back has been finished with a cardboard insert.
The diameter of the hoop is approx 6.5 inches and it comes with a piece of natural string to hang it from.
