I love the effect light has on glass, especially when shining through it. I particularly like the effect of mixed colours together, seeing how certain colours compliment others. Plus this technique enables me to use all the small pieces of goergeous glass I'd have to throw in the recycling otherwise, as they're too small to use for lead or foil work.
On a recent trip to a church I noted how relaxing and serene church windows always make me feel, and wondered if I could capture some of that serenity in a piece for the home.
The original result was similar to this, but more uniform, incorporating uniformly cut and sized pieces. I particularly like the randomness of this style without a uniform pattern, size or shape to the mosaic pieces. It strangely feels more relaxing to its uniform counterpart to me.

Full description
Hand made, glass mosaic, T-light or candle vase.
Made using small pieces of multi coloured glass, to create a stained glass, church window effect, and finished using black grouting to contrast with the colours, and give a visual effect reminiscent of a stained glass church window.
These are especially beautiful when lit, it will give any area a warm and cosy feel.
Suitable for either real candles or the battery powered ones, depending upon the circumstances. Perfect for cosy evenings in front of the fire, or as a more colourful replacement to traditional candles on a dining table.
Also suitable for those slightly warmer evenings in the garden, as the candle is protected from drafts keeping the flame lit! Perfect for those summer evenings to come, when dusk falls after an evening barbeque, or even to light an outdoor area in a party!
The candle holder measures approximately 105 mm wide X 95mm high.
These items are sold individually, and will be posted in a small box, packed well, to protect it on its journey to you. If you want something a little more unique to your tastes, please feel free to contact me I have many unusual items.
