Full description

These belts are hand made from traditionally tanned bridle leather, from J & FJ Baker of Devon, the last remaining traditional tanner in England, on a site that has been a tannery since Roman times. The finest quality hides are prepared using English oak bark, in a process that takes over a year to produce the leather. They are thick, strong, and packed with oils and waxes. This leather is gorgeous – the smell, feel, and look are amazing.

The belts are available in black, brown and tan. They are 1.5" wide, fitted with a steel or solid brass buckle, hand stitched with natural linen thread, and punched with oval holes at 1" spacing.

The buckles may vary depending on stock at the time of order. I will contact you before starting to make your belt, to confirm the buckle that you want, at which time you are free to cancel the order for a full refund if I don't have any buckles that you like.

You generally need a belt that is about 2” bigger than your trouser waist size. You can also use a tape measure to see what size your waist is on the outside of your trousers. However, the best method is to measure a belt that fits you (lay the belt out flat and measure the distance between the very end of the buckle and the hole that you use most - see picture). Please specify the belt size and colour that you want when you get to the PayPal checkout. I will contact you in any case to confirm.

The belts are custom made, so please allow up to three weeks for delivery.
