Little plastic Subbuteo men date back to the 40's and still continue to bring joy and happiness to players and collectors around the world today, myself included.
While the figures are usually tucked away in special cases or hiding away in dusty boxes in the attic, those childhood memories and feelings are easily recalled with a glimpse of the famous green packaging or of the curious little figures themselves.
Inspired by my own young family, I'm on a mission (www.flickforkicks.com) to encourage the current generation to switch off and learn this traditionally interactive face-to-face game. Still an amazingly fulfilling hobby, even in the digital age. With my work, I aim to get people talking.

This image shows a jumble of retro lightweight Leeds United Subbuteo figures that date back to the 80s. These are all from my personal collection.
I photographed and digitally edited the image in my home studio, where I go on to make the finished canvas prints.
Perfect for any Leeds United Football Club fan, Subbuteo fan, or retro toy lover. Youngsters bedroom, playroom, games-room or even in a grown-ups room.
