Time to clear out a few bits and bobs, and give out some bargins at the same time!
This is a very solid piece of lampworked glass! Made by hand by heating glass directly in a propane and oxygen flame.
I have formed a half sphere which acts as a magnifing lens, helping to show up the main swirl. This whirl of colour is made with translucent blues, and blue-green glass that are blended together.
A sturdy branch of glass has been melted in then flicked over to make a neat organic-shaped loop.
The back of the half sphere I have flattened so it will rest neatly.
From top of the loop to the bottom it is around 48mm high (about 1/8" under 2inches) just over 25mm at the widest part (about 1inch) by about 20mm deep - so a nice solid lump of glass!
The picture shows it on a cord to see how it could be hung, but I am supplying without any cord, however if you'd like then please email me and we can sort something out.
I have fully annealed it in a digitally controlled kiln as I want this to last to become an heirloom of the future, although it is glass so will break if abused!
