Dulcie - a gold velour and vintage lace bag. What are you going to make of this? Why not start a trend? Let lace bags become the “Coolest” thing to own! If you love gold you are going to love this bag! First of all it is tiny. Your barest essentials are only going to fit in this bag, but it would be like having a clutch that isn’t a clutch, and you can fling it over your shoulder and forget about it!
The fabric is gold faux velvet velour – soft to the touch – and the handles have beautiful gold grosgrain ribbon on one side. What are you going to make of the front of the bag? Well, let me explain how I made it. I started by layering cream vintage lace and some coffee coloured lace and stitching it to the fabric, then the final layer was a further lovely cream vintage lace to complement the gold fabric.
Finally, I hand-stitched beads, sequins, and white/cream guipure lace flowers to the front of the bag. This was the embellishment on the final lace layer. What a feast for the eyes!? The lining is a simple gold polyester fabric. There is a magnetic clasp closure.

Bag measures 16.5cm (6.5ins) wide x 19cm (7.5ins) deep
Gusset is a 5cm (2ins) wide all round the bag
Internal pocket measures13cm (5ins) wide x 9cm (3.5ins) deep
Strap measures 92cm (36ins) long x 3cm (1inch) wide
