Full description
A posy of embroidered roses decorates the outer cover of this miniature, hand made book. Attached to a charm cord it could be used for addresses, phone numbers, birthdays or give as a gift and write a secret message inside!
The cover is cut from needle cord fabric in a pale blue colour. The embroidery has been worked in tapestry wools and metallic blue thread. The full blown rose has been stitched in a strip of fabric using ribbon embroidery techniques. The cover is lined with a blue on white patterned fabric. The lining is backed with iron-on interfacing. The cover is reinforced with heavy interfacing. The cover ties closed with a ribbon bow. A ribbon loop, at the spine of the book, allows the charm cord to be attached.
The pages of the book are assembled into four 'signatures' of four folded sheets each. Giving a total of 32 pages. Each signature is firmly stitched into the cover using cream crochet cotton.
