Full description
This piece has a design of stylised chrysanthemums (kiku) and maple leaves (momiji) in three shades of coral pink, gold and white, some outlined with gold, above a deep pink cloud. The background silk is cream (not the grey it looks in the picture) with a swirling pattern woven in throughout.
The silk is unpicked from a vintage (1950's - 60's) Japanese kimono. Although it has been used it is in excellent condition.
It hangs by a cream kumihimo cord, like a scroll between wooden rods with finials turned from holly wood.
The overall size is 33 x 18 (84 x 46 cms) and the fabric is 24.5 x 14 (62 x 36 cms)
It is difficult to give a true view of the colours on a computer screen as monitors vary so much. The best is Picture 3.
