The shape was inspired by early to mid 1940s knitwear, making use of the original size of the jumper, which allowed me to make the sleeves nicely gathered.

Full description
This 1940s inspired jumper was upcycled from a large shapeless hand knitted jumper in a blue denim colour. A new front, back and sleeves were cut from the old jumper, making use of the original welt and cuff ribs. The rest of the jumper was unravelled and the yarn used to knit a new neckline in garter stitch. This jumper looks lovely with a brooch attached at the corner of the neckline.
