I love robins their proudness and striking red coloured breast and to begin with I was going to make a fabric one but the shape is so simple and beautiful I felt that wood did it more justice.

Full description
These cheeky robins twinkle beautifully in the winter light. They are made of wood which is then cut to shape using a band saw. Each robin is then sanded individually to take away any rough edges . I then wax each one to bring out the grain and imperfections in the wood which gives each robin its different character and makes every one individual. The bright red breast and beedy eye are then painted on . Some of my robins are now complete (please see my more traditional Christmas Robins with painted red breast) but for these cheeky fellows a layer of red glitter is applied over the red paint to catch the eye. They are sold in sets of three .
